Supports the wellbeing of members by fostering an inclusive environment, addressing community concerns, helping students facing challenges such as Islamophobia or discrimination, and working with the committee to ensure members feel safe, supported, and represented.
Requirements
• Strong commitment to supporting the wellbeing and inclusivity of Muslim students on campus
• Awareness and sensitivity towards issues affecting the community, including Islamophobia and discrimination
• Ability to listen, offer peer support, and direct members to appropriate university or external support services
• Good communication and teamwork skills to work closely with the committee and wider student community
• Reliable, approachable, and able to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive matters
